Sweater Weather Gingerbread Wax Melts
FREE shipping — hand-poured in our Kentucky shop, ships in 2–7 business days
Sweater Weather is gingerbread, latte, crisp air. Sweater Weather is the first cool morning of the year, the one where you dig the sweaters out of the back of the closet and make a gingerbread latte to celebrate. Ginger and molasses up front, warm milk and espresso behind, and a little of that cold-air edge that makes it smell like October instead of a bakery.
Sweater Weather is a gingerbread wax melt hand-poured in Rineyville, Kentucky, by Bluegrass Belle Wax and Wick. It comes as a 9 oz bag of shaped tarts or an 8 oz squeeze pouch, both $16.99 with free US shipping. Squeeze pouch wax color varies from batch to batch; the pouch in the photo shows one batch, and yours may be a different color. The scent is always the same. Our tarts are natural and plant-based; the squeeze pouch contains mineral oil and is not a natural product.
Where it shines: Best in the living room on a dark evening, or near the front door so it is the first thing you smell coming in from the cold.
Two ways to buy it
- 9 oz of shaped tarts in a clear stand-up bag: boots and hats, flowers, squares, hearts or teddy bears, your pick from the menu above.
- 8 oz squeeze pouch: Sweater Weather as a soft wax you scoop or squeeze into the warmer. It throws harder than a tart and you use only what the room needs. The pouch color changes from batch to batch. It contains mineral oil and is not a natural product.
Ingredients
- Wax tarts (natural, plant-based): coconut-soy wax blend and fragrance oil at a ten percent load.
- Squeeze pouch (not a natural product): the same coconut-soy wax and fragrance oil, plus mineral oil, a petroleum-derived oil, to keep the wax soft and scoopable, and a little wax dye for color.
No paraffin in either style, and nothing in the bag is food.
How to use it
Drop one or two tarts, or a squeeze from the pouch, into the dish of a wax warmer and switch it on. Expect eight to twelve hours of scent per tart. When it fades, let the wax cool and harden, pop it out, and add fresh wax. Every scent we pour is here.
Safety
Use only in a warmer made for wax melts, never leave one on unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. The NFPA home-fire-safety page covers warmers and candles alike. Tarts look like candy; they are not food.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do gingerbread wax melts smell like cookies or spice?
Both. The ginger and molasses give it the cookie, the latte gives it the warm milk, and the clove keeps it from going sugary. It is a spice-forward scent with a soft finish.
How long does one Sweater Weather tart last?
One 9 oz bag holds roughly 20 to 24 tarts, and each tart gives 8 to 12 hours of scent in a standard warmer. The squeeze pouch goes further because you scoop only what you need.
Is this the same as your Christmas scents?
No. Sweater Weather is a fall scent with no peppermint or evergreen. Jingle Bell Jammies takes the same gingerbread latte and adds cinnamon, clove and pine for December.
